Two hearts, one horizon

OUR LITTLE WORLD

Where two lives lean closer.

Read the complete poem
We built no palace in the air, No golden throne, no kingdom rare. We made a world from simple things— Shared jokes, warm tea, and plans with wings. A message sent at break of day, A word that drives the clouds away. A quiet question, “Are you well?” Can hold more love than poems tell. We do not always think the same, Yet neither heart must carry blame. We speak, we pause, we understand, And build again with open hands. Your dreams are not a debt to me, My dreams should also wander free. Yet where our separate pathways meet, We make the journey more complete. Our little world has no high wall, It grows by kindness, after all. And when the noisy days are through, Its quiet centre still is you.
