THE WORLD TODAY

What's wrong with the world today? They say it's burning down, There's none to care or help, As all live for self. Why do we look at the world-- With a different view, Why do we always try to destroy? When we are the ones to protect. Why do we take interest On things that are wrong, Why are minds filled with evil? Why does there live within us a devil? Why do we try to harm? Why don't we try to share love and warmth? For which this world most needs is-- Love, even more than bread or sleep. This world will come to an end, If we always try to self defend. Everyone is our own, So, why give anyone wounds? The earth is god's greatest gift, Why are we turning it to hell? For our personal needs, Why don't we all peacefully dwell? Let's give up all evils, Come, we will chase off the devil, We'll make a better place, A heaven in space.
