After love

WHY DID YOU?

Where absence learns to speak.

Read the complete poem
Thought you were the one for me, Thought you were better than - Heaven could be, Thought you were the simplest girl, The best one in this world. Thought you would never let me down, Made you the jewel of my crown. Wanted to make you my guiding star, Like the moon shining at night. But what you did, Was just not right, Pushed my down, Even in my own sight. Told everyone about my love, Shattered it down like, Day old flower wither, What you gained, Is beyond my mind, But that which you made me realize, Is; there's only dirt on this earth.
