You never knew the day grew bright Because your smile had crossed my sight. To you it passed and left no trace, To me it warmed the whole dull place. You never knew I kept in mind The little words you left behind. Not to possess, not to pursue, They simply mattered, coming from you. I stood within the place called friend, Afraid that truth might make it end. So every sentence I prepared Became a silence that I shared.
